In regards to the ongoing discussion on swaging NICO's, I noted that one
thing hasn't been discussed. The plastic coating found on a lot of aircraft
quality SS cable MUST be removed before crimping the NICO's.

There was a kit manufacturer in the early days of ultralights that failed to
do this and people died. Always use a "check" guage (Go/Nogo) after swaging
cables.
