While I seldom post to this site, I never the less frequent it several times a week and feel that I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the many benefits I have received from doing so. The most recent of these was in contacting member Jeff Garrett - afterfxllc(at)aol.com for completing the upgrade kit installation at a very good cost. Like many of you, I too, was a bit frustrated to learn of these required changes as I was nearing completion. Jeff was kind enough to provide pictures of his work before hand and several suggestions to get it done. He was was very flexible and incorporated some nice features such as laying my side skins on a new piece of aluminum to match the holes and leaving out the old front spar angle holes so there were no old holes to cover over with the T shaped piece. He then put the T inside instead of out, leaving the outsides as they originally looked. I had him do some other parts while he was into the fuselage and these were also done with good attention to detail. Many were even primed and painted to match the steel parts I had powder coated. Jeff also provided picture updates and phone calls as he progressed. Upon completion, he trailered it back to Kansas City and picked up a friend's 601XL to take back to Kentucky for the same upgrade. Had I been retired, I may have elected to do the upgrade myself but for the cost of my time this was a good avenue for me. Thanks again to all of you who have been posting ideas and answers on this site for these past two and a half years I have been a member. I hope to be finished by the end of the year and meet some of you whose names I have become familiar with on this site. Still "W8N2BUP" John Richardson
