Hi Jeff,

 My mono-wheel brake was leaking a bit of fluid and  not holding pressure well. Turned out to be the O-ring seal. We removed the  brake from the disc and used a rubber tipped compressed air  gun to push  the "puck" out of the slave cylinder. Then we saw the o-ring to  replace.  It looked like it was leaking from the bleed screw simply because the bleed  screw is the lowest point to drip from.

  

 When the mono is sitting tail down the master  cylinder in the tunnel is at an angle with the filler low. I needed to raise the  tail (or unmount the master cyl) to get the air out.

Hi Jeff,

 Kevin is correct that the master cylinder slopes  with the fluid outlet at the top, so when you fill the system from below through  the bleed nipple it's difficult to get all the air out. The Europa brake  bleeding kit contains a small aluminium reservoir that screws into the fliier  hole in the master cylinder, and this really makes the process much easier - it  was the only way I could successfully bleed the system. Just fill from the bleed  nipple with the supplied syringe until the fluid level is about half way up the  reservoir, tighten the bleed nipple, then pull the brake lever until no more air  bubbles through the reservoir. Then slowly release the brake making sure that  the fluid level in the reservoir stays above the bottom. The whole system should  then be filled with fluid. Suck the excess from the reservoir with the syringe,  remove and screw the cap back on and you're done. It's a 5 minute job with the  kit and I would really recommend it. No financial interest !
