all: yeah, go ahead and laugh. It's May 16th. If Thom Riddle hadn't flown over in his SS the Kolb might still be
resting in the big steel barn. Perfect sunny day and with the experienced help of a fellow Kolber the appropriate parts
were unfurled to meet the marvelous high pressure air we had here today.

It was an extended Xcountry flight of about 4 minutes to my recently mowed strip. Engine ran great after getting the fuel
pump to fill up the lines and float bowl. Take off RPM on the suzuki is 5300 run through a 2.26:1 belt redrive.
If I had a scientifically tuned intake and exhaust with a different cam I'm sure those numbers could be moved up.
-It's only a Geo folks.

Anyway, diving at my strip at a hair-raising 60 mph with half flaps yielded a pleasant mid field touchdown and a smile on my face.

Got in one more shorty after lunch. If I logged all my takeoffs and landings it would exceed my total time.

Very good news, Bob. I had a fellow asking about Raven engines and redrives at our EAA chapter meeting yesterday. Be sure and share lots of details and I'll pass them along.Must have been the day for it. I got the new radiator all mounted and plumbed this morning so when the blue hole opened up after noon I was ready. 6 T & G's and a full stop and a trip around the Duchy, too. NO LEAKS! Good day for both of us.

The flight to BB's place (55 miles distant) was my first flight away from the airport this season too, so it was a very good day all around.

On the return flight from BB's I let the large area of thermal activity due to recently plowed fields, lift me an extra 1,000' higher than my initial cruise altitude. Free lift, even (or perhaps especially) in a stubby wing Slingshot is worth taking advantage of. What a beautiful day for flying it was. Always happy to help a fellow Kolber get his wings on and airborne again.
