This is a heads up: I discovered Lycoming's new vernatherm valve presses against the drain stop cylinder valve located in the accessory case that the oil screen housing is bolted too. You can see the cylinder by looking into the hole that the vernatherm valve seats against when the oil reaches 180 degrees. If the valve presses against that cylinder it not only prevents that cylinder from opening, it also jams the vernatherm valve as it expands. I found that I had to file off a little under 3/32" off the threaded shaft and crimping nut for it to clear.
