I have two eyebrows, make you a deal . . . .
(1) This is an eyebrow I removed from a customers plane about 2 years ago. I forgot I had it. It's the early style. It needs to be covered. If you don't know what it looks like, I've attached a pic. It needs to be covered. I'd sell it for $100 plus $20 shipping.
(2) I am also selling the eyebrow from my plane. It is wired with 7 lights plus two map lights. A couple of the lights don't make good contact on the light socket so you have to nudge them occasionally to get them to work. I'm going be installing a new eyebrow in my plane with LEDs. I'll sell this eyebrow for $350 plus $20 for shipping. You're essentially getting all of the lighting for free. Trust me, it's a pain-in-the-ass to wire it for lights. I've enclosed a pic of my eyebrow, though it's not a great pic.

Gary,
When I was laid up for awhile I experimented with some LED lights for the glare shield in my darkened bed room. They were in little 3 " blocks with pigtails to hook in series. I powered mine with a 9 volt battery and after 72 hours I could still read by them. I think I had 7 blocks for 21 lights in my string. I will be happy to share my experience, but I expect you are beyond this stage already. If not give a call.

IKEA Aircraft Parts has a set of 12 volt powered LEDs that can be made any one of 7 different colors. There are 4 strips, each about a foot long. I use three of them. They can be dimmed and change color as well.

I take it this would obviate the need to use the massive potentiometer that currently controls current flow to the Tiger eyebrow lights.

The first one I installed used a small rheostat to dim the lights. You'll still need the big one for the radio lights.
