If there's anybody familiar with Santa Barbara, my wife and I are planning a mid/early week visit next week. Which FBO do we use? We'll need a car to see the sights, so a rental will be necessary for the day. Last of course, "which sights?"! An old mission, a wonderful seafood lunch, a walk on the peir, etc... Lend me your ideas!
Thanks!

KSBA is "upscale", e.g., expensive.
Signature and Atlantic are the FBO's. Both charge a handling fee ($39??) as soon as you show up. Waived with a minimum gas purchase. 100LL is something like $5/gal, although 50 cents cheaper on the weekends at Signature. Parking is $15 a night, last time we were there.
They can get you a rental car.
My preference is for Signature. (Atlantic seems to cater to the jet crowd.)
Expensive, but good service. Plan to buy gas to avoid the handling charge.
I hear there is a new, third fbo, selling self serve fuel well under the price of the others. But I don't know if they offer parking or rental cars.
Lots to do in Santa Barbara. Visit the UC campus if you just want to walk around a nice place.
