My mistake, 47 x 2 is 94". Dennis's answer was exact.

Let's see Barry.  Using some of the specs for the V530 to measure blade angles, it says the measurement of blade angle is made 1000 MM or 1 meter from the center of the hub.  That places the measuring point on the blade about 8" in from the tip of the blade.  If you look at a new V530 paddle prop, it will have a line on the back side of each blade from the leading edge to the trailing edge, which in fact is the blade angle measuring mark.  When one measures from that line to the tip of the blade, as I said, it is about 8", give or take 1/8".  So, doing the math, 1 meter = 39.37 x 2 = 78.74" + (8"x2) = 94.74".  I still think that is "approximately" 94 inches and not closer to 98".  FWIW.

Dang email! Sorry Dennis, I would never rebuke you in public intentionally. That was intended to be off list to Doug only....my apologies! Sometimes we get numbers in our head that seem so right....but I'm clearly "wong" on this one....

As if I didn't know better before to doubt a master.... <sigh>

Back to my corner....

Cheers,

Barry
