I suppose this kind of intermittent, and indeed severe, misfiring COULD be down to a blocked vent line, but I doubt it.    

   

In my experience this is almost certainly a magneto winding problem, probably aggravated by poor ignition leads and sparking plugs.    

   

BUT, the problem will be inside the magneto.
