Terry,
I have just a little over 10 hours and 60 landings, Several with bounces
and have not bent a leg yet. Maybe the fact that I use the 6" wheels at low
pressure helps absorb the shock. I built 3 prs of 4130 heat treated legs for
the Firefly per your drawings, but have not needed them ---yet. Those
aluminum legs seem to be pretty tough, but If I ever bend one I have plenty
replacement 4130 axles waiting for duty!
