NEWS FLASH - like a Lightning flash. Team Lightning and Team Jabiru have arrived at Oshkosh as of about 4 PM this afternoon. Pete sent a text message when they were over Ripon on the OSH arrival procedure and I was able to meet them and help get their "jets" to their booths. So far there are two Lightnings here, the new blue demo from SYI, and Max and Oleana's Florida Flash. Dave Jalanti will be arriving later with his ELSA Lightning. Plans now are for the Florida jet to be in the Lightning booth, and the blue demo and Dave's jet in the Light Sport Mall. Hey, it is starting to feel more like OSH with the Lightning team here.
No real aircraft movements today, still too wet in the grass aircraft parking areas, but we have quite a line that are waiting for the OK. They have allowed people to register and put up their camp sites, they just don't have their airplanes at their camps yet. Hopefully soon. However, more rain is forecast for after midnight tonight and about a 40% chance for more tomorrow. Bummer.
