After installing the additional "aileron control stop" I find my stick can now only travel approximately 1/2" for aileron control. Is this what others have found or will I need to cut a great deal of material from the edges of the 50 mm slot?
Have not connected the aileron cables yet... just curious. Hardly seems like enough travel!
Caleb tells me amount is different for everybody...depends on the installation...?
Thanks for feedback,
Mike

Mike,
You have to have the cables attached and tensioned before you can trim the bracket correctly. As I remember, the angle of movement of the ailerons is 11.5 degrees up and 11.5 degrees down. I used a digital level when setting the stop at the aileron, 11.5 degrees down from neutral. The control stop at the stick will stop the up motion of the ailerons.

Ron,
Appreciate your reply on my question. When I spoke with Caleb couple weeks ago he explained that everybody needed to remove different amounts from the 50mm slot after installing wings/cables. My aileron stops (at the rear spar) are set carefully at dwg. specs.
My question is more one of a survey as to what amount of material people are having to remove (if any) from the 50mm slot after installing wings/cables?
Thanks again,
Mike
