I'm assuming the "thing" was the Maverick LSA "flying car" (basically a dune buggy with a paraglider wing on it). http://www.mavericklsa.com/
They said on their blog you could find them at the Zenith booth and I had wondered if anyone had seen it there. They drove it to the show. Interesting concept, well except for the estimated 85-90K sticker price.
