Well. My blue mtn efis one finally died completely and I am about to order a skyview system.   Any comments about the conversion process or the results?     I sure enjoyed the bma gold box when it worked.

Never a fan of BMA I am surprised to make this suggestion but... I bet you can find BMA replacement parts for dirt cheap if you just wanted to do a direct replacement.

Yes, I don’t intend to install it now. My project has been stalled for a few years. I don’t recall just what the last software update is, but I think I could figure it out.  

   

I did install the box into the airplane and the screen in the panel, plus I installed the magnetometer in the RV-8A rear baggage compartment. I have the separate keypad for the thing too. The gold box and the screen have been packed away for some time now.
