I need to replace the rubber bushings on my 701. How do I jack up the the plane so the gear can be worked on. There doesn't seem to be a hard place to jack under. Even a 2x6 across the bottom from side to side seems to want to bulge the sides a bit.

How about tying down the tail?

Ron,
Here is an ideal on how to jack up the front end from Larry Mac's site.
After you jack it up you can rest the front end on some kind of support.
I modified this idea to change tires on my 601.
Hope this helps.

I think he is talking about the rubber bushings between the main gear (not
the nose) and the fuselage.
FWIW I did rest my fuselage on a 2 by 6 when changing the rubber pads but my
engine and wings are not mounted.

No problem, use a car jack to lift each side to lift the tire 3 to 4 inches. You will have to use blocks of wood on top of the jack to gain the height. Then place a 2x4 about a foot long parallel to the sides, just ahead of the main gear and clamps. Place your jack stands (tall ones), under the 2x4's for each side. Let the jack down carefully. This area has to be more than strong enough because of all the forces that are delivered all around this area. This is how I replaced my entire main gear and rubber cushions.
