All,
The September 2010 issue of the Lightning Newsletter is now posted on some of the websites that carry our newsletters. At the moment, you can find this current issue of the Lightning Newsletter as well as all past issues at:

http://www.greenlandings.com/

Nick tells me his web guy has it posted on their web site (and it is listed under the newsletters) but when I tried to access it just now, the link did not work. I am sure it will soon be fixed. Try for it at:

http://www.flylightning.net/

It should also soon be posted at Jim Langley's web site:

http://www.jimslightning.com/

One of the first things you will probably notice is that it is much shorter this month that in past issues. In fact, Linda, our esteemed editor, said great, it is more like a newsletter than a magazine. So at only 18 pages this month, it about 1/2 the size of recent issues. Maybe now more people will be able to get through reading it before falling asleep. Hope so.

Featured in this issue is a nice write up by Steve Hacker about his Lightning of the month. Beautiful airplane. But I really think you will enjoy the feature article by Wayne Patterson of Western Australia. Wayne is building his Lightning at his home and wrote a great article on his project and the positive aspects of having your Lightning in your garage.

There are some good photos of Rick (Mr. Fiberglass man) Disher's Lightning on an early test flight and some photos of a new toy that Max and Olena have at their Lightning dealership in Florida.

One other important part of this issue is the Service Bulletin from Sensenich on their ground adjustable carbon fiber props. If you are using one of these propellers, but sure to check out the Flying Safety section of the newsletter.

I know I am beating a "dead horse" to even mention the next point, but as always, I am requesting both future articles for the newsletter as well as feedback on how to improve the newsletter and make it better. I depend on you for content, article suggestions, and on your comments for improvement. That is why I am always pleading for your feedback and comments. So PLEASE, stand up and salute the Lightning Newsletter, then get out your pen and paper (or computer) and send me some newsletter stuff.

Blue Skies and happy flying,
Buz Rich
