do not archive
Okay.....for those who missed the first battle, were asleep during the second one, or were still riding tricycles:
As I recall (note the immediate disclaimer), some poor soul was seeking to remove a foreign substance from something....maybe from his/her body parts, but this innocent person made the mistake of asking on the Zenith List about using Scotch Brite pads.
At that time the List was also infested with 601 builders, so the result was lots of flames poking fun at low-wingers, high-wingers, people partial to pink (Hot Pink) Scotch Brite pads, sports fans of various breeds, and on and on, etc. It was great fun; problems developed when some who tuned-in late mistakenly assumed the discussion was serious. Some were offended, flamed big time. Some who were in on the deal from the beginning fanned those flames just for fun. This was drivel at its finest!
Scotch Brite pads are said to be effective for removing warts. The disclaimer is that there could be some side-effects, including pain.
The reason the Archives don't contain many references is because nearly everybody who offered comment also added the "do not archive" phrase somewhere in their post. This assures that your contribution to the world's collection of offbeat knowledge won't be arc'd.
Welcome to the fray.
