To all who have helped me in the wild trip from a pile of Zenith parts on my shop floor to certification of my CH -701 - again thanks - yeah I'm still on cloud nine... and enjoying every minute of it.

Now it's my turn to return the favor.

For those of you who are seeking a DAR in the Utah, Idaho, western Colorado, western Wyoming, Nevada area - or where ever -do yourself a favor and give Tom Gierhart FAA Designee / IA / Com Pilot a call  (801-558-2386 or email him at darservices4u(at)yahoo.com (darservices4u(at)yahoo.com) ).

Tom is a retired Navy Maintenance E8 with a stint in the FAA. I was advised to contact him by several sources, EAA and some guys at the Matronics web sites to mention a few, SURE GLAD I DID !!!

Tom is an absolute gentleman who knows his stuff and will more impotantly do everything in his power to make sure that the certification process is as painless and productive for you as he can make it.

If you use the Certification Package from the EAA (cheap at twice the price) and follow Tom's guidance in a package he will provide it will be about a two hour process.  After which YOU will be standing there with a Special Airworthiness Certificate (Experimental) and Experimental Operating Limitations in hand AND one huge grin on your face.

Again cudos to you guys at the matronics sites and to you, Tom Gierhart, DAR, for your guidance.

Congratulations Phil, I'll be looking for that first flight report. You can record all the engine operating parameters and report on them, too, just to keep it Rotax oriented. :-}
