All,
This is the second attempt to send the newsletter notification to the Lightning matronics list, the first being this afternoon. Hope it goes through this time.
The October 2010 issue of the Lightning Newsletter is now posted on some of the websites that carry our newsletters. At the moment, you can find this current issue of the Lightning Newsletter as well as all past issues at the official Lightning site:

I have not heard from Ryan as whether it is up on the Green Landings site yet or not. But you can try at:

Also have not heard anything from Jim Langley, but in the past he has posted the newsletter at:

This issue, besides the normal sections, has an attachment that Nick provided. It is the current Lightning Inspection Guide for all Lightning models - EAB, SLSA, and ELSA. It is suggested that you use this checklist for your annual condition or 100 hour inspection, depending on which type of inspection your particular aircraft requires.
Featured in this issue is a nice write up by Paul "Bear" Bryant about his Lightning of the month. Beautiful airplane.
There are also some great inputs in the various sections - News from Dealers, News from Builders and Flyers, Reader Feedback, Technical Tips, etc. Thanks to all of you that sent things for the newsletter.
Also, I finally finished that trail dragger Lightning that I have been working on. You will see some photos of it in the famous Skunk Works section.
I hope most of you are planning on being at the Lightning fly-in and homecoming tomorrow evening and Saturday. Several folks (including me) have already arrived. Creeper raced tomorrow night and Lightning races on Saturday afternoon. Nick has spared no expense at coming up with very unique "trophies", well actually they are one of a kind plaques, for the winners.
As always, I am requesting feedback on how to improve the newsletter and make it better. I depend on you for content, article suggestions, and on your comments for improvement. That is why I am always pleading for your feedback and comments.
Blue Skies and happy flying,
Buz Rich
