I finally came across what I've been looking for: a publication that definitively states mogas requirements for Rotax 2-Cycle aircraft engines. Published in April 2009, this Rotax document specifies AKI 87 minimum and up to 10% ethanol is allowed. Only the 618 requires AKI 91 minimum.
