It's quiet out there, Gary, what's new in Auburn?

Maybe I should talk about taking off with partial flaps. I always use an inch or two of flaps during take-off.
I always start on both mags.
I never prime when the OAT is above 30 degrees
I start the engine with the throttle closed.

The Project X cowling is nearing completion; first step anyway.
Wednesday went like this: Finished an annual in the morning, Clytie and I left for Lancaster at 1pm and drove for 6 plus hours (drove instead of flew because a cowling won't fit into a Tiger), picked up Bobby's Tiger, flew home at night with a 30 knot tail wind, got to Auburn at 10pm . . . it was raining, realized we hadn't taken the Kia to the airport to drive home, rain stopped . . sort of, we walked the 3 miles home, got home and no key, had to break into the house, ate some snacks for dinner, hit the sack at midnight.
Yesterday, it seemed like I could only get a few odds and ends done.
