During maintenance I examined the oil supply line for my 582 and found it needs replacement. It has become more prone to kinking over time and I wish to replace it. The original builder used that "blue" tubing and I could use that but I am curious what others use.
On the plus side the tubing does not appear to harden with age carrying oil as I have seen with fuel.

Fuel injection line. Don't know why, particularly.

Dave, is your current oil line 5/16 polyurathane? I wanted to use that but could not find that size, only 1/4 inch.
I ended up using 5/16 black transmission oil cooler line from NAPA. It is made by Gates and has 400 psi stamped on it. It makes a pretty tight turn without kinking.

I couldn't say exactly. It's a blue plastic line is all I really know, and
the blue could have come from dye in the oil. All I can say with any
certainty is that it's time to replace it.

Okay, if you find a source for 5/16 inside polyurethane let me know. I would like to get some.
