I've built a Model IV--Rotax 618 with a three blade  wood GSC GA prop; wondering if anyone's running or ran the combination  and if so, what's recommended for a reference prop pitch starting  point using the GSC supplied pitching tool?  And, what RPM being  targeted at full throttle level flight?  Appreciate any  input.

Start are 15 degrees and go from there.

Your 618 is about 10hp more than my 582.  On the 582, when I reached about 12 deg, it overloaded the engine and had very poor performance.  11-11.5 was my happy spot.

gear box ratio comes to play as well here. 3 to 1 will have more pitch that a 2.62 box.  I would be curious to see how the 618 exhaust was made as it is totally different then the 582 exhaust. 



582 Exhaust on Kitfox was chopped shorter and cost 5 to 7 HP.  But the 582s seem to last longer on the Kitfoxes.
