All,
Votes for Lightning of the Year are starting to come in, and along with the votes, I have had one question as to exactly who can vote. The rules are simple; anyone that reads the newsletter can vote - or more specifically, if they read the December 2010 newsletter article about the Lightning of the Year, they can vote. So basically, the voting is open to anyone that is aware of the contest and looks at the photos in the December 2010 issue to see which Lightning of the Month they would like to see win Lightning of the Year.
I think the winner last year had his family, friends, and EAA chapter send in votes, but the final tally was still extremely close. I think this year will be just as competitive because we have had some really beautiful monthly winners during the past year.

Just to give me time to compile the votes and write up the article about the winner in the January 2011 issue, please try to get all votes into me no later than Monday, 27 December. Thanks.

So send your vote directly to me at: N1BZRICH(at)AOL.COM (N1BZRICH(at)AOL.COM)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season.
Blue Skies,
Buz

Hi Buz,
Bill Beasley's pocket rocket gets my vote for the Lightning of Year. She's
a beauty. Thanks for the long hours you have put into the newsletter and
wishing you happy holidays.
merry Christmas from Down Under

Buz,

I would have to go with Dave Jalant's Lightning. The red on his jet looks very similar to the color of my 1967 Mustang.

Thanks, Dennis. Have you two figured out the colors and scheme for your Lightning?

Not yet, my son is working on some paint schemes. I've got some time, I don't intend to start until next Summer.

Buz, IRT the lightning of the year votes, I see where some have replied to the group listing rather than directly to you as you asked. I think you wanted to do that to kinda surprise the would be winner.

So I'm castng my vote in a separate email directly to you.

Thanks for all you do for us...

Bear

Right, Bear, that is what I would prefer. As you said, it will keep the suspense up until the January newsletter is published on or about 1 Jan 2011.
Blue Skies,
Buz
