Group,

More than a year ago someone posted a link to a plastic tank vendor.
If you have that link, could you repost it, I can't find it doing a search.

Thanks,
Mike Welch

Might have been Flambeau <http://fluids.flambeau.com/>. I used one of their 1.5 gallon tanks as an aux tank for my UltraStar before I switched to a custom aluminum tank.

Mike, I replaced my tanks this past spring with a pair that I thought would be decent. They did have a good raised boss that I used for the vent lines. Unfortunately they distorted more than I was comfortable with.
I ran them to the end of the season.
I sourced another supplier for another pair. I have them now and they look very sturdy, substantial and rigid.
-no guarantee how they will react to heat and pressure but I'm optimistic.
They are only 5 gal tanks but that is all I need.
My original old, yellowed and beat up tanks were quite sturdy and didn't deform so I knew good ones were out there someplace.

Bob- These say not to use for fuels or oils. Is that something the lawyer put in?

Ellery, which one are you referring to? The big white rectangular one looks like it might not fit in the conventionalMkIII spot.

I have two 5 gallon Kolb plastic tanks that came with my kit. If anyone wants them make an offer. I have aluminum tanks that I use.

Bill Sullivan,

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is the material the red jerry cans explicitly sold for gasoline are made from. No matter what the lawyers say, HDPE is still HDPE.
