Chris- Seems to work pretty well. How do you move it around on the bare spots? Dollys for the landing gear, or just drag it?
Bill Sullivan
P.S. Did you grab for the brakes?

That is a nice arrangement. No effort, just step on it and slide in the pin.

Chris,
Nice video and very nice skis!
I noticed in the still shots that you have fashioned a restrictor on the air scoops for cylinder cooling. How much difference has this made in CHTs and Oil temps in winter flying? Are you happy with the size openings you currently have, and what is the current size of the openings?
I assume you don't have an oil cooler on your Jabiru because mine does not nor is it needed in upstate NY, which has a climate similar to yours.

Can you resize and repost that picture? At that huge resolution, even
scrolling from side to side and up and down still doesn't really give me any
idea of what it is I'm looking at.

Ok....Sorry..lets try this for the picture.
Thom,
I will measure the openings and yes it makes a big difference in temp ..the way it is now it runs around 235-260 on the CHT and oil runs 160-190...without oil maybe 125 and it's hard to get the CHT uo to temp (212 FOR TAKEOFF POWER ) ...And I realy don't see a need for a cooler...only 1 time did it get to max (243) and it was the hottest part of a 95* day and if I backed out of the throttle,it went down to 228-230,so I just don't fly it in those conditions.

Quite so. But if the picture fits the monitor properly, then what is written will also fit the screen without having to slide the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen back and forth to be able to read the copy. Which typically runs way off the side of the screen when the picture is too big.

Richard- On my old computer, the pictures initially load large and then resize themselves. No idea if it's in the transmission or the receiving. I just wait a minute.

That is why my old pc and lap top automatically "shrink to fit" when I get
the photo file out of my email program and onto the desk top. Takes a
couple seconds and works like a charm. Nope, mine don't "typically run way
off the side of the screen when the picture is too big" if I use this simple
solution.

In many programs displaying text, like a browser, hold down the control key
and use the mouse wheel to resize the text. You will have to size it back
later.
Irfanview takes huge pics and displays them screen-size. If you want all the
detail hit <cr> and it goes to full resolution. Programs doing this
automatically do not actually resize the file- they just sample the large
pic and display it smaller to fit the screen. With Irfanview it is very easy
to actually resize it and save it.
