All,
I was incorrect in stating that the wing tip and root skins are completed in the photo assembly guide prior to installing the fuel tank. Just the nose skin installation is completed before installing the tank in the photo assembly guide. The question still remains, does it work out better completing the nose skin installation next, or proceed to do the fuel tank as per Jon's DVD?

If you install the fuel tanks before putting on the nose skin, it gives you a little more room to work on your tank installation without having to bend over that extra distance. I'm at the same point you are on my second wing and I have not done any work on the tanks yet for either wing. The first wing I went ahead and intalled the nose skin. It may work to tip the wing up on it's nose while installing the tanks if there is not enough room to work without bending over too much. Otherwise it's your choice. My wings will have separate tank cover skins so I've already riveted my top skin and nose skin to the frame.
