While it IS true that Steve's a friend of both Kitfox List moderators; and
it IS true that impolite behavior here can get a contributor banned; and
it IS true that at least I have been affectionately known, in the past, by the moniker "List Nazi"; and

we here on the Matronics list will never condemn anyone for polite, Kitfox related discussion. Ever. You have my word.

Not that strange on this list. Notice how just about everybody on this thread has their name, location, and project as part of their signatures? Providing some basic information reinforces a sense of community on the list and gives folks a point of reference when reading and commenting. Faceless anonymity is a hallmark of the Internet in general, but when you are seeking potentially life & death information regarding the construction or operation of an airplane, you need to know the source.
As one of the list co-moderators, Guy Buchanon has championed the practice and many on the list have come to expect that level of participation.

I'm way past losing track of this thread, where did the nazi's come in??
I've had too much Christmas cheer and company today to figure it all out, I guess Malcolm is not the one needing a new plane.
Best of Christmases to everyone, nazis included I guess.

Bd,
The question is often one I have in my head when I see posts on the Kitfox List that have no name attached. We tend to think of ourselves as friends and pretty much identify ourselves with our real names and locations. This list existed long before the screen name anonymous forums came into being and a first name is usually posted and some give first and last names and their location. In fact that was once a policy of this list so we could relate to each other in the real world - I guess it is just the culture of this list.

...no disrespect intended. The "who" permits me (others), to respond to you by name and that "what" possibly narrows down, which model Kitfox that you may be interested in; saves electrons in both directions. We give up much when the people connection is reduced to words on a screen; my apologies.

Interesting enough. You can call me BD if you like and I'm interested in any Kit Fox or any other plane that anyone has for sale.
thank you.
