To all Kitfox enthusiasts :-
EAA Chapter 309 has recently completed a Kitfox Lite project and we have now put it on eBay for sale.
See http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110631121245v
If you know anybody who may be interested, please point them in our direction. The plane is at Lake Norman Airpark (14A).
All the very best for the New Year and wishing you smooth landings.

I am completing my Kitfox Mod 4 1200. The glass tanks were coated with
KREEM at the factory in 1994. I am thinking I should wash them with MEK and
retreat them with KREEM. I use mogas in the 582. Are there other liners
superior to KREEM to resist alcohol? Also is there a way to test the KREEM
to see if it is degraded?

Ed-
Back in 2004...or 2005...when I was building my IV, the then head of
Kitfox told me that if my tanks had not had fuel in them since they
were built in 1994, that I should flush them out with repeated
applications of acetone, until the acetone became clear...this took 3
separate flushings. Then to follow the directions on the Kreem for re-
sloshing. I did this and never a problem in over 4 years of flying
with 100LL.
