Hi   

Today I was showing an A&P my project and he mentioned a problem he found during a recent RV9A prebuy inspection he was doing. Apparently the nut on the bolt joining the elevator bellcrank halves to the push tube had come loose. Or prehaps it was never tightend properly. In any event, the AN3 bolt ended up getting bent and was probably on its way to failure as the port / starboard elevators now had play.  

This is something to keep an eye on.
