In my 54 year as a professional aviator, you get to meet a lot of “professionals”. They are guys like me who just follow the rules, make few mistakes, and make smooth landings. Amongst that group are those rare folks who show the leadership and foresight of our profession. They show the “pros” how it’s done. “Buzzard” was one of those rare few who could really fly, pick your “perfect” lazy 8 apart with the right panache that you still felt you had chance to be like him. A gentleman with balls. Heaven is what ever God needs it to be for you. Buzzard will still be showing the pros how to use their new wings. Vaya con Dios Gordon.
