I am wiring a three phase vertical mill to a static converter (add a phase) from my 220vac single phase source. The motor is a reversible single speed. Does the order of the phases matter? The instruction with the mill are Chinese version of English (useless) and the instructions from the phase converter don’t specify which leg goes where.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
I know this is slightly off topic, but the mill is going in my hangar to build airplane parts!

Not critical for the initial start-up. But
if the motor does not run the right direction
when you turn it on, reverse any two leads.
