Hi,
Thanks for the information, 2.5 X the engine RPM.
I am using an Odyssey MGL EFIS , it can accept a variety of signal of many type, I am actually using a tacho generator 2 pole AC generator on the air starting distributor which is half the speed of the engine. it is to slow and I dont have a good steady reading below 1000 RPM. Also with a low frequency the Odyssey is slow to update the reading, I am told that it would be improved using a higher frequency.
My alternator is a Jasco 24V unit, I think the rotor have 6 poles, with a stator connection point I should get a good 3 voltage pulses per turn in regard to the engine ground, X 2.5 this will give me 7.5 pulses per engine turn. This should improve the low range and overall response of my readings.

Please can anyone tell me the RPM of the alternator in regard with the engi
ne RPM on a M-14P. I need the frequency of the stator to use as a signal to
one EFIS for the engine RPM.
