Thanks to all for the responses. Sounds like I don't want anything less than 750 ft, and more is better. I'm going to the farm this weekend to walk the ground and see what location would be best.

Mark,
from my experience flying a MK lll with a 80 hp rotax at 900' above sea level with a full load you should be ok with a 1000' with clear approach on both ends....more of course would be better....for what it is worth....Jim Swan
