And something easily removable…having work access to ‘behind the panel’ from the ‘top’ has been important during the last 10 years flying N94K.

THANKS ALL FOR THE TIPS. There's many ways to skin this cat. I think I will cut one out of sheet metal and bend it to shape. then do layups using the metal as a mould. Then surface the whole thing with 1/4" soft foam and cover with beige vinyl that I'm using for the interior.
