Hi Sam,

I fly a kolb, not a zenith but I do use a powerfin prop. Its a 64in. 3 blade pusher.
I use a 60hp HKS engine. The Powerfin does a great job for me. Its light weight
(low moment of inertia) , its stiffer so it doesan't flex as much as some of the others.
It's really easy to adjust the pitch.I suppose one drawback is that the length can't be
trimed in the field--it's hollow with a foam filled core--however the factory can trim to
whatever length you want. Iwould bur another one. Hope this helps.

Not to be argumentative, but the Powerfin props CAN be trimmed to length in the field. I have a two-blade, 70" and the directions to shorten it were either included with it or available on their website. It's a delicate procedure, but it can be done.

Just sayin'.

Hi Sam ,

You might want to check out the Kolb list . Just had a warp drive come apart in flight yesterday.
Don't know what model or horsepower. Best wishes whatever you do.

Thank you for your thoughts. I've decided to go with a Warp Drive prop after checking the cost of having another prop extension made with a Rotax bolt pattern. I have a prop extension with a sae 1 bolt pattern and Powerfin does not make a hub with that bolt pattern. The weight seems to be about 2# to 3# different. Not worth the money.

Warp drive has excellent customer service, If there is a problem on their end that caused a failure I am sure they will take care of it.

There was a re-call on my prop while I was still building and they left repeated messages on my answering machine until they spoke with me directly. They seemed genuinly concerned for the safe operation of my plane and not just about any potential liability. Turns out there was nothiing wrong with my blades but at least they made the effort to verify.

They seem like a fairly small and responsive company. They make a good quality product. I wouldn't hesitate to get another Warp Drive in the future.
