NOT Kolb specific but may be of interest to Kolbers and other aviators. I'm not selling or pushing this just thought some might be interested, if they have an iPhone. If you are not interested, just skip on to the next or flame me, as you see fit.
A couple days ago I downloaded a free App to my iPhone, called MotionX GPS Lite. It is the free version of their have-to-pay-for version. Yesterday I tried it out to see how the tracking and notification service went, not in an airplane but in my car. It works. The difference between the free version and the oh-so-expensive version ($3) is the number of tracks and waypoints you can save and a few other features.

I don't think it is as functional as SPOT but it appears to do all I want it to do, so I may pop for the expensive $3 version!
