As many times as I've been through an annual I don't know why I always wind up researching the same stuff every year... but these are really easy ones:
What's the "magic formula" for lubing the air system? How much of it goes in and where?
What aeroshell grease do y'all prefer for the prop?
Thanks,
Jon

25-30cc of a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and glycerin. I use Aeroshell #5
or #7 grease for the prop hub bearings.

Jon,Many guys have requested that I offer a "annual kit", so I have put together all of the gaskets, and felt seals, normally required to do the "average" annual. It would be easy to also add a bit of glycerine to this kit if needed. Contact me off list if needed.
Best,
Doug

I put it in the put it in the main and emergency bottles before I put them back in their brackets in the fuselage. I then hook the system B nuts back to the tanks. I do this every couple of years when I do my annual. When I take the bottles out, I invert them over plastic cup to catch the contents thus checking for water in them.I leave them inverted over night to let them drain. After doing this for the last 7 tears.

Re part of Jon's question on lubing the air system. He also asked where does it go?
I would like to know this too. Where does it go and how does one flush it out? Given that glycerin attracts water is there a concern?
I guess I am having trouble with the CJ manual. Any help with the procedure would be gratefully received
Thanks
Coop.
