RDR1200 in an Mu2 linked to an Avidyne, works great.
But with Stabilization on, it paints more to the left than the right.
I leveled the airplane and made sure the R/T was also level to the airplane and the gyro has also been leveled to the airplane.
But the Avidyne still paints more left than right.
I tried the Roll Trim inside the Avidyne maintenance pages but it didn't help.
There is a Roll and Pitch potentiometer on the R/T antenna itself, not sure what that does.
The Radar book says to shim the gyro so maybe that is all thats left.
Any insight is appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the specifics of the RDR 1200, but before I adjusted anything on the antenna I'd be certain that the gyro was putting out the proper signal. There's a good chance that the roll pick off in the gyro is out of alignment, given that the antenna tracks normally without the stabilization signal. I'd have the gyro bench checked, especially if it hasn't been done in a few years.

Good idea. Might just continue to live with it.
I think sending a Gyro for bench test that is otherwise working just fine is begging to get a $5000 invoice and no improvement.
Down the road a G600 will fix all of that I am sure..
Thanks.

Actually, just a bench check without doing any repair or adjustment is pretty inexpensive. In fact, any avionics shop that does radar installations can test the gyro on a tilt table with it hooked up to your RDR 1200 and you'll find out quickly where the problem really is. I had my setup tested just this way and it took only about an hour, with most of the time spent for R&R of the radome and gyro. I found it very educational.
