The electric boost pump on the TIger I've been working on, the cap where the filter goes, doesn't have a hex nut or anything on the bottom.
Question: Is this an early design? or is this an anomaly?

The nut probably broke off at sometime. It was brazed or soldered on
and can be broken off with to much torque. Original nut used a 5/8"
wrench and the more recent ones use 7/8".

The original pumps were supplie dby Bendix and the nut was welded on the filter cap. The new pumps have the dut as part of the filter cap and it is stamped as part of the filter cap. Give me a call and I will send you a cap from one of the pumps that dont perform to the requirments and cant be PMA approved.

Gary:
FAUCET does make a SEALED pump. But it is NOT an aircraft pump.
