Frank,
If you are flying a passenger for the first time keep the trim well nose up.
I was nearly caught out doing just that. With the trim not far enough `up` it took real struggle to take off in spite of bags of speed. Just cleared the hedge. Passenger of course didn`t know anything untoward was goin on.

Did your passenger beat you up after the flight??? lol ( fist flight )
Mine did the very same thing ,but I had bags of cement in mine....they didn't care....lol

Did your passenger beat you up after the flight??? >>
My passenger was blissfully ignorant. He didn`t notice the sweat beading my
brow andthe twitching of my arm muscles.
Cement would have been better. Or my passengers wife. She weighed about half
that of her husband.
We live (if lucky) and learn

Pat -- all CFI's here are taught to sweat only on the right side of their faces, where the students can't see it.
