Hi Dave,
Boris, Phillip, Dave, I was just getting ready to post on Teamgrumman-List.
I talked to the cowling fabricator yesterday. Because of the number of pieces and the size of the tooling (molds), he made all of the pieces at the same time for all 4 cowlings. That is, all of the left sides and right sides. Then all of the upper cowlings. Then all of the inlets and cooling ramps. Then, he assembled all of the parts. He's in the final stages of installing the inlets. Fabricator Dave says he should be ready to start bringing up finished cowlings next week.
The next step is to put the parts together and see what size box I need for shipping. Based on what I've learned so far, the shipping cost will be around $300. I should have a better estimate once I get one boxed.
I wish I could pass on the cost of the baffles. . . . . . smile. Those suckers are expensive.
