Is there any way to bench test for failure of the expensive cavity tube
in a Narco AT-50A transponder? Two units here show overheating in the
area of the 2N6109 transistors (the two green TO-220 transistors). It
would be nice to know if the tubes are gone before investing in the
maintenance manual or professional testing.

Another way of asking this might be - has anyone brought their unit back
to life by replacing those burned/failed components around the 2N6109
transistors?
