Fixing to install the new Rotax Oil pressure regulator replacement parts (cone, spring, and Hex screw). I don’t believe an oil system purge is necessary or required when replacing the old parts with these new ones. However, as I remember an old SI for replacing the spring and cleaning the “ball” stated to follow the purging procedure. Any comment?

Not needed. Only a little oil will dribble out when you make the change. No different than removing the oil filter

Hi Hugh,

I'm with Bob. No purge. Too little oil drool to worry about.

Hi Bob,
How have you been?

Bob, Roger,

Thanks, I thought that was the case.
