Cannot get these pictures to print. Hope this one works. Maybe there are too many megapixels. This is the bi-fold hangar door when closed. Will send others separately.

Sheila, or is it Andy?

Why don't you cut your pictures down to about 1/20th their size.  2.5MB is waaay
too big!!
  Nice looking door, BTW.

At my previous house, I built doors very much like yours, but chose to use overhead
rollers that rolled along a track.  That way I didn't have to worry about crap getting into
a floor level track.

Good thought. Anything above about 200k bytes is wasted on a computer screen. Problem is, some people don't have the 'tools' available to do resizing.

If you're running Windows XP & would like a couple of tips on how to do it rather painlessly, we can deviate off-topic & do a couple of instructional emails, if it's agreeable.

Charlie, it may not be a "tools" problem as much as a knowledge problem. Your assistance would be appreciated. We have Windows Vista.

I'll check out what works on Vista as soon as I get access to the family Vista machine. (I'm still using xp on this system). In the mean time, try pointing at the picture file with your mouse and right clicking. You should get a popup window of options. See if one of them is 'resize image' or something similar. If that's available, click it & follow the prompts. It will create a smaller version of your original pic. If there's no 'resize' option, see if there's an 'email image' option. That one should create a smaller version for email.

Better detail when I get to try it on a Vista box.

I don’t know what comes with vista,,, but if you right click on a photo. Look to see if there is an option “ Open With” you should get a listing of all the picture managing software already on the computer, choose one and see if it offers a resizing option. Check under tools, image, picture, etc tabs, and then try properties, attributes, size, compress, email, web page,,,, Or hit ‘ f1 ‘ or help and search for resizing, cropping options,,,,,, If not try another software,,, you may have something already on your system that will do the job.

A picture resizer for Vista is available here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/cumgranosalis/archive/2007/07/30/image-resizer-for-vista-and-xp-just-a-right-click-away-from-explorer.aspx

If you are using Firefox for your browser, you can right click a picture and then click on "View Image," and it opens it in a new tab that is normal sized.

I happen to have Vista for an operating system. The above picture of several MB's and was saved from my Canon Camera and stored in a separate hard drive. I opened the full picture and at the top of the picture was several options, one of which was "email". I clicked it and it inserted it into an email that I only had to insert a destination to be sent to. It may be a bit clunky to send more than one picture at a time, but I would bet with a bit of experimentation you could figure out how to bunch them somewhere to send more than one.

Excellent, Richard!

This apparently does what the old 'image resizer' tool did for xp. From
the looks of his help file, its operation is the same, with the added
feature of letting you pick the destination of the new (email friendly)
picture file.

Use of this tool will be a great help for those who are still stuck with
dialup (as I was for a long time) or a slow satellite link.
