Hello Everyone,
I have seen many people have the Carlisle golf cart tires on a 6" rim and call them Tundra Tires.... They are Heavy and Stiff, and the size is all I see that is close to being what is referred to as a Tundra Tire.....The Carlisle Tire is a very good tire, but I do not think it Preforms like Real Tundra Tires do....These Tires I have are Soft and only use between 5 and 10 pounds of air, and they are Light Weight........... They act like the Big Boys Tundra Tires in Alaska...... The Rims I have are 8" in Diameter, and fit on Black Max and Hegar wheel hubs, and maybe others..... Anyway I would like your input on what you think about my Tire and Wheel Combo........ If anyone thinks they would like to have a set for their Kitfox send me an e-mail..... These work Fantastic on my Kolb, and I even sold a set to Rotax Rick that is on Barnstormers..... He is a Rotax Repair Center down in Florida.... Anyway he has a set on his Quicksilver that has a Rotax 670, and he loves them. I think these have been the best mod I have done on my Kolb Firestar II....... Joe

Looks like the Nanco 21x12x8 tires that I have had on my aircraft for a few years. Great tires !. They are available from :

Would they fit on a rim that currently has 600x6 tires on it? How tall are
they?

The Nanco, Nanking or "KingFox" tires --these are all the same-- are for an 8" diameter (ATV-type) wheel.

It is Correct that these tires will only fit on a Wheel that has a 8" Diameter, and the preferred rim needs to be 8" to 9" wide.... However the Wheels I have have been made especially for this type of tire....... They are not ATV Wheels, and they are one piece tubeless rims that will fit the Black Max Brake System, and also the Hegar Wheel Hubs...... The Wheels have a 3 bolt pattern, and ATV wheels have 4 lugs....... As I said these wheels have been Custom Made for me. I am also a Black Max Dealer. and can supply the Brakes and whatever else is needed. These wheels are even Heat Treated......... The Tire and Wheel combo I am offering will be shipped already mounted, and filled with air.....Any more questions please send me an E-Mail

Dick,

What you said about the Tires is so TURE, These Tires are Awesome, and I am sure you agree with me on that. I have a Phantom, and a Kolb Firestar, and I try to keep everything as light as possible. I have been looking around for the past couple of years for the Best Tire, Wheel and Brake Combination. I agree with you that the Nanco Tire is the best Bang for the Buck. However I also wanted the Best and Lightest Wheel and Brake Combination I could find. When I was looking for Bakes the Black Max System was the Best and Lightest System I could find, and Black Max Brakes have readily available parts.. It is a very Light and Simple Set-Up thats easy to install, but there were no 3 bolt pattern wheels that would fit the Black Max System, and that the 21" x 12" x 8" Nanco tire would fit..... So I had to have the Wheels Custom made.... I feel that what I have put together is the Best and Lightest Tundra Tire System for my needs. Everyone that has seen my Kolb just loves my Tires and Wheels, and everyone that has bought this Set-up has loved them...... I am just trying to offer People something that Light and Simple and Trouble Free...............Thanks...... Joe

Looking at those breaks makes me wonder. Are they capable of holding back a plane while a 582 gets to full throttle for a short field take off?

James,

I have seen these Brakes hold back a Phantom that had a Rotax 670 turning a 72" Prop .... The 670 had over 80 HP These Brakes are rated for Aircraft up to 1000 pounds.... These are on a 5/8" axle.... The Black Max is also available with a 3/4" axle and can be used for Aircraft up to 1500 pounds Very Happy

Here is a Good Picture that shows a 6" rim with a common size Tire next to the Wheels I have Custom made that are 8" in Diameter, and 9" wide...
These Larger Tires makes a big difference when landing in a Cow Pasture Razz
