Tommy, Bobkat, Larry and Randy, I appologize for the slow reply but please accept my belated thanks for all your advice.
I ended up following part of the manual’s advice and Mark Townsend’s on the rivet head. I heated them up until they glowed and then took a 135 degree bit and drilled. Seemed to work fine.
With respect to the primer, I went with Zinc Chromate. I have not opened it yet, but was told it was the same consistency as paint rather than the paste like mentioned in the builders manual. Expensive stuff though $200/gallon.
I did find the place to buy an updated manual on the Zenith site as well as the list of updates to the manual and drawings with the links you gave me Tommy.
Now, got to get moving on the building.
