This spring starting the 912ul has been a problem. Following a thorough checking of the induction and carburation circuits it struck me that the battery was 3-4 years old. For the new people coming along be aware that these little motorcycle batteries do not last for ever. When engaging the starter the propeller would appear to have good rpm but the voltage drop on the meter was significant 8-10 volts showing, not sufficient. After trickle charge the engine started right up but would not hold a full charge needing to be put back on trickle after landing.
Some things need to be relearned.
