Some time ago somebody suggested to publish panel pictures.
Here is a picture of my Lightning`s cockpit - yes, some things are
still missing;-)).
In case somebody else likes the wood stick grips: they are from Aircraft
spruce, but they come only in 3/4" (and 1"), so I had to drill them to 7/8".
I just attached the pic to the mail. In case the pic isn`t there, could
somebody please mail me how to do it?

I have to disagree, a traditional panel with some round steam gauges has a far nicer look to it.
Functional yes, simple, clean, light, yes..........nice to look at.....about as exciting and interesting as a garage door.
I suppose something we need to get used to, like all the cars on the road looking the same.

Group,
I guess I'm the guilty party that suggested instrument panel photos and panel information of Lightnings / Esquals for the benefit of those still in the building state.
All-glass panels are the rage, but I'm still leaning toward a combination of both glass and steam for my dash, especially since I already have some new gauges. I'm planning on using my 2" oil temp/pressure and both fuel level gauges, as well as my vertical card compass along with the EFIS and GPS. A backup ASI and ALT wouldn't hurt, either.

Gerd,
Nice looking panel. Clean and efficient. Try not to take the naysayers too seriously. He probably has one of your wooden sticks stuck up his butt.
