Subject: instant hangars?
I came across this in a mag.
A company called Concrete Canvas makes an impregnated canvas which when made wet hardens into a concrete like substance.
It made me think of the possibility of a tent like structure which could be supported on a light framework, covered with this canvas with folds and corrugations arranged for strength. Wet it and in a few hours it hardens into `concrete`. Remove the framework and it seems that an unsupported covered space is a distinct possibility.
|pparently used in Afghanistan to back up sandbag defences it can also be used underwater. With a retarded solidifying time it can be worked into cracks and crevices, nailed etc.
It is fireproof and potentially bulletproof. It could be covered with earth or some other good insulating material.
Worth investigating.
